#20 BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 166

I had Kubuntu 6.10 working on my IDE disk, I had installed it perfectly with qtparted, who did a good job by the way.
But now, I wanted to change completely to Linux and install it on my main disk; a 250GB, SataII disk. (Samsung SP2504C)

But when I run qtparted from the install DVD, it crashes. I ran it from the terminal and got this error message:

I don't know what these major and minor opcodes mean, I really don't know what to do.... :/
