This may be due to the lack of available slots in the
servents returned by connect3.bearshare.net (and other
top-level "public hosts").
There's an alternative mechanism to get the first servents
to connect to: GWebCache. However, the corresponding patch
to qtella hasn't been evaluated yet.
What you can do is try to connect with a web browser to a
known url (for example
http://perso.enst.fr/~mmaitre/GWebCache/gcache.php\), get the
address of some servents from there, and try to add them
manually to the "host list".
The patch will allow qtella to do this in an automatic way.
