For those that are interested, here are some notes regarding the "Backup intosubfolder" option:
With "Backup into subfolder" enabled, QTDSync will create a folder the same name as the backup set name.
* For example: Backup set name: "Test", a folder called "Test" will be created and all backup data will go into that "Test" folder.
With "Backup into subfolder" disabled, all backup data will go to the root of the destination drive.
* No folder of the same name as the backup set name will be created.
Test 1
Create three folders, 1,2,3
"Backup into subfolder" enabled
Backup set name: Test_1
Folders 1,2,3 and will go into folder Test
Test 2
Create three folders, 1,2,3
"Backup into subfolder" disabled
Backup set name: Test_2
Folders 1,2,3 and will go to root of destination drive
Message
You decided NOT to backup into a subfolder!
The backup of another backup set into the same backup destination will likely corrupt your backup!
Please make sure to use your backup destination only for this backup set!
Note: Based on this information then, if you are using the destination drive for a single backup set, then it would be acceptable to disable the "Backup into subfolder" option.
I hope that you find the above helpful?
