I've been using QTDSync in the following way for months with no problems, but recently it has stopped for some reason and I'm not sure why.
I have a scheduled backup every week, starting at 00:05 on a Saturday (i.e. just after midnight on Friday night / Saturday morning). I don't leave QTDSync running all week, but instead have a windows scheduled task which starts QTDSyncMonitor at 00:01 on a Saturday. In the past, this has been enough, and after 4 minutes of sitting there, Monitor starts the backup and all is well. On completing, I've configured a script to switch the computer off.
On the last few weeks, I've found the computer still on come Saturday morning, and no backup run. When I go in to manually run the backup, I get a message saying:
---------------------------Currently backing up---------------------------The backup set Weekly Backup is marked as currently backing up!

It is likely that another QtdSync instance (e.g. QtdSync Monitor) is currently performing a backup.

However, do you want to force QtdSync to backup now?---------------------------&Yes &No ---------------------------
I get this every single time, and there's definitely no backup running. If I force it to continue, the backup runs and completes normally.
So, am I doing it wrong? How can I clear the 'currently backing up' status which seems to have got stuck somehow?
Tx,
Dave.
