Just downloaded the latest qt-fsa Live ISO. Loaded it to an 8Mb memory stick with 'Tuxboot'. Fails to start with "No operating syatem found". Tried a different 8Mb stick, loaded it with Mint's 'USB Image Writer', same problem.
All the above done using clean Mint 18.3. Booting tested on Lenovo Thinkpad.
Am I doing something wrong?
I must test it.
Regards
The latest Live version (0.8.5-7) tested and now works perfectly. A very neat package with lots of useful recovery tools included. 'Burned' the ISO to a USB stick with Mint's USB Image Writer.
Hi, I downloaded qt-fsa .... 0.8.5-7-amd64.deb direct to my laptop and it works fine, I think it is brilliant! Next I installed it on a Live Mint USB stick that has persistence, it works there as well so my immeadiate need is filled. Thanks for a superb piece of work :-D
The iso-file works fine with DVD. An USB-Stick with the iso file works only in the UEFI modus.
I search the error. (it's not easy)
I corrected the iso file and uploaded it. I didn't change the version number.
I have compared the md5sum of my computer file with the english file at sourceforge. They are identical. With the ubuntu usb-creator i wrote the iso file on a USB stick. The stick works with the MBR and UEFI.
Tomorrow I will create the stick with Mint 18.3 and Mint's 'USB Image Writer'. I will report about the result tomorrow
I created the stick with Mint 18.3 and USB Image Writer and it works with MBR and UEFI.
In your mail you wrote that the stick also works for you. I can't find your mail here at tickest
I also made a new stick from the new ISO using Mint 18.3. My new stick boots on both MBR and UEFI machines - great result! I also like all the recovery tools included in the ISO :-)
