" Nah, total overkill. Let's just continue with the current scheme which increments the second number with every release. If you desperately want to express bigger changes in svn with version numbers I'd suggest to use the third number for that purpose only and never use the third number in releases. I btw already have test qstat builds of svn snapshots in the opensuse build service[1].
