Good day, Q-Rap has been tested and updated to compile on Ubuntu Xenial, the new long term support version of Ubuntu that is due 21 April 2016. In the process a number of problem has also been sorted out. Please give it a try and let us know via the mailing lists if there are any problems. Please be sure to follow the installation instructions on www.QRap.org.za on "Getting Started" Kind Regards M. Hi:
I am trying to get it working on Funtoo.
I patched it to:
* Use qwt5
* Use libpqxx4
* Find the Eigen3 include dir.
* Use the db port as a string instead of a int.
The db port as a string was probably not needed but I was trying to
figure out why it's not using the db port specified in the login form,
later realised it ignore the login form and use the settings.xml file
instead. I left is as is, don't make sense to me to get a parameter as
a string, use it as a string but store it as an int.
I didn't use the "CreateDB.sh" but instead put that in the
pkg_config() section of the ebuild. The db get installed and Q-Rap
connect successfully to it. The problem is the default table structure
never get applied.
I didn't use the postgres user with the logins in "CreateDB.sh", I am
very reluctant to set up my db master with public know logins. The
create function in cDatabase.cpp seem to be commented also?
Is there an .sql structure available that I can add to the
pkg_config() section or can someone with a valid db export it for me?
Regards:

Dear Sir/Madam, I am Walid Al-Saad a communication engineering bachelor's degree student from PSUT: Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Amman Jordan. This is my final year, and I am working with two other students on a graduation project under the title: Vertical Handover between Two Heterogeneous Networks Namely UMTS and WLAN. In our project we want to implement a vertical handover decision (VHD) scheme, then we want to validate it using a simulation tool where we are going to model several topologies of the subject networks with different sizes of the WLAN coverage area and different network setups. A mobile device will be simulated and different speeds will be used in the VHD. We are wondering if your software Q-Rap can perform this kind of vertical handover simulation, and if we can build different networks modules using it. We will be very delight if you may help us in our project. Very many thanks . Your Faithfully, Walid Al-Saad |
