#124 Error: invalid data

Hello,
I am trying to use a X508A multi-channel data collector through ethernet connection with QModMaster.
I am able to ping the device and, as you can see from the bottom left picture, it is connected with the right IP and Port number. Currently I have a load cell attached to the collector, but still it seems like I can't get any communication back. Not even by changing the function code and it is independent of the load cell.
When in function code 0x03 I get the error: invalid data and sometimes error: no error.
Any suggestions? I've tried basically everything I could find online.

I am new to basically everything, so please bear with me if I explained it badly.
