Hello,

OS: 24.04.2 LTS (Noble Numbat) (Ubuntu)

~$ flatpak list | grep qmmp
Qmmp com.ylsoftware.qmmp.Qmmp 2.2 stable system

I've tried all three combinations toggling on/off global and gnome hokey plugins. None work.
Machine: Acer 5742g with FN + multimedia keys on Home (play/pause), Pg up (stop), Pg down (Prev track), End (Next track).

Regardless of plugin settings, on fn+<multimedia_key> every click leads for crossed icon being displayed.
Video walking around, pressing global hotkeys while qmmp plays:
https://youtu.be/okZl8c4Ix_c</multimedia_key>

Terminal output:

$ flatpak run com.ylsoftware.qmmp.Qmmp
MediaKeys::MediaKeys: gnome settings daemon is not running
HotkeyManager::HotkeyManager: X11 not found. Plugin disabled
unknown: QWidget::setMinimumSize: (coverDockWidget/QDockWidget) Negative sizes (0,-1) are not possible
OutputALSA::initialize: Unable to receive current channel map
unknown: QDBusTrayIcon encountered a D-Bus error: QDBusError("org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown", "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown")
unknown: QWidget::setMinimumSize: (coverDockWidget/QDockWidget) Negative sizes (0,-1) are not possible

MediaKeys uses "org.gnome.SettingsDaemon" dbus interface. It should be accessable from flatpack. Alternativaly, you can try to use mpris plugin. In both cases, your DE should take care about global hotkeys.

Tried mpris plugin, it instead controls chrome youtube tab in the background that was paused. Previously did not notice - qmmp is not registered as player in gnome notifications drawer.

Tried installing from apt, it registers with gnome notifications and using mpris plugin Im able to control qmmp from anywhere with mediakeys, but it lags in version greatly vs flatpak counterpart, annd generally I would prefer flatpak installation.

And I'm sorry I know know what is behind "DE" abbreviation.
