In the last few weeks,I keep on finding the methods to develop a gps map viewer system which can adapted the QT framwork. But neither the QT offical library nor the third part plugin have any module to acess these function. While I began feeling desperate,I found your work by google seraching!I built the code and run the demo,it works exactly what I want! The online map loading, dragging action, zoom in/out,multiply overlay, adding maker and so on!
You project just like the GMAP.NET C# plugin, but it works in QT!I like it!
And from now on,I will start to study your code, program my GPS viewing and tracing system!I want to keep on communication with you about my work and your project if I found something funny or curious in the future.Your Q&A is avaliable, right?
And I wish you project can be more popular in the QT developer circle!

I totally agree with you here. QMapControl is very nice and easy to use (and modify).
I started an application to display recorded GPS tracks and use quite some QMapControl features. Check it out here: http://github.com/BourgeoisLab/GPXLab
Cheers
