I have a configured RPI with WiFi and last night pedal worked all night using hardware buttons (usb-keyboard). Tonight using lights with a different band and running remotely over web and although slow to respond worked well for a about 1/2 set. Now even rebooting the RPI I'm getting connectivity issues. Signal strength is very good.
Going to try buttons again.

Update for issue the other night. I rebooted the RPI and used only my hardwired pedal board and had no issues at all for the next 2 sets and it worked very well.

I did a little testing last night and with the USB WiFi inside the box the distance is is about 25 feet before it gets real sketchy. The above issue I think was a result of this.
I will test with USB WiFi outside of my box and see if distance increases or I might have to use a different WiFi with an antenna.

If it's one of those micro sized wi-fi dongles the range will be cr@p. If it is, try one with a proper aerial on it like a PC card.
