I recently switched to QLC and now I have a few questions:
1)Is there any way to run an RGB-Matrix with the Colorchannels on 0? I just want to use the Matrix for my dimmerchannels and I want to control the colors with a different button on the virtual console but I don't get a RGB-Matrix to run without color information.
2)I am experiencing that all of my fixture definitions I make for my RGB fixtures are missing the colortool for RGB fixtures when programming e.g. a Scene. Is this a bug? I already checked that I have the channels assigned correctly and the colorpicker on the virtual console is working. Also predefined fixtures with rgb channels are not missing the coloortool when programming a scene.
3)Is there any way to get Midi Input when programming e.g. a scene? I want to programm the positions of my moving heads with faders on a BCF2000 into scenes but the Midi Input I assigned in the virtual console only takes effect on my outputs/ the simple desk.
Best regards, :)
Daniel.

1) not yet. There was already user request to have RGBMatrix that operates on dimmer channels only (or rgb only) but it's not yet implemented.
2) can you attach your attempts here? It's easier and faster to tell you exactly where the problem is, rather than guess all the possibilities...
3) Channel groups are a way to use MIDI during design time - but I don't use them, so I can't advise you how to use them.
I use a different approach - I've created XY Pad for each of my moving heads,
and assigned two faders to each. Then I start the operate mode, set the heads to desired position, and finally use the DMX dump function to dump the values to a scene. Not really straightforward, but it kind of works.

1) I think I found a workaround that works okay for me: I'll just set color information in the Matrix to 1 on every channel. I think I read that these RGB Channels work in HTP mode? If so: My fixtures don't seem to be sensitive enough to switch on if color info is 1,1,1 so I have no problem with starting the chase and then selecting color. :)
2) I added one of the fixtures where the colortool doesn't work for me to the attachments.
3) Since the program I used before (LumiDMX) only has the option to create scenes the way you described I am quite used to this procedure and was hoping to avoid this.
The channel group method looks much better for me. It's not optimal that I have to make a separate group for each pan/tilt channel but it works.
Do the channel groups work in Operate mode too? I don't have the BCF here right now and it'd be nice to know when I start programming next weekend.
I've fixed the names -- in the next version (or if yu compile from git) you can use German names. The problem was there from QLC times, I guess from times when you couldn't yet specify channel's primary color.

Thank you very much for your help. :)
Hi,
for now, change the channel names to English :) I will fix it in the next release.
Aaaah that's the problem. I am from Germany, I didn't even spend a thought about the german channelnames being the problem. :D
Thank you very much. :)

QLC is working pretty much perfect for me now. I am only wondering about one thing:
When I look into the web interface all the X-Y-Pads I created don't show up. Is this not implemented yet or am I experiencing a bug here?
Not implemented yet, as well as the animation widget and some other things.
Patience
Okay, thank you. Since I can just use the Simple Desk for that I don't really have a problem with that. :)
