    Hi there,

I created something useful for those working alone a lot :)
Our control room is not easily accessible, so this saves a lot of time.

    Works easiest on OSX.
    Requirements:
    QLC+
    TouchOSC
Ad-Hoc wifi or open Wifi network (no closed ports)
    CoreMidi or TouchOSC bridge

I created a touch interface of 120 buttons that send out midi notes.
Next I created a QLC+ workspace with 120 faders and attached those midi notes to it.
Connected the iPad to my laptop using an ad-hoc network.
Connected to touch-OSC using OSX's built in Core-Midi settings.

now I can turn on all my lights and control the intensity of the active lights while working at great height. The range of the ad-hoc network is brilliant, even on an old iBook. I know this is possible using commercial hardware, but those are expensive and I just felt like doing it :)

will upload the necessary files tomorrow for your using pleasure.

    regards
    Tony

      Sounds like great stuff !
      Thanks for sharing Tony

(reading about your iPad...) If you'll ever have the chance to test Luminair against QLC+ through ArtNet, please let us know !

(excuse for my very bad english, i'm french !!!)
Can you explain to me how to connect ipad to my macbook.
I use touchosc bridge, it works with my other apps : Traktor or Ableton but not with QLC+. I'm going crazy :(((
      Thank a lot.

I haven't been able to use TouchOSC Bridge with QLC.
I just created an Ad-Hoc network to connect the ipad:
        http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-set-up-an-ad-hoc-wireless-network.html

and set up a network Midi connection:
        http://fox-gieg.com/tutorials/2007/midi-over-a-network/
you have to try an connect a few times, the wifi network is not immediately fully connected even if the iPad says so. if it is connected, you can see the feedback in the midi connection settings in the black bar next to latency.

now in QLC you have the iac Driver as an input (i set that one on universe 2, to keep universe 1 for DMX out and other midi in. i.e. nanoKontrol).

now you should be able to use the 120 channels in my sample files with my touchOSC layout.

Hope this helps you. good luck!

          thank you very much.
I had a problem with the ad hoc network, but with a free network, all is well.
You just saved hours of sleep!

    this is the QLC workspace.

As dor Luminair: pricey! really been wanting to try this out, just don't have the budget right now.
