    Hello Community,

maybe i doesn't work at QLC+ at the moment, or i didn't find it out how to realise it.

I want to change from Scene A to B in Chaser by a keypress, hit a MIDI-Keyboard or if i send an OSC-Command via Quartz Composer.

On Mac OS X Quartz do the realtime sound analyzing - and i want to step from one scene to another in QLC+ with every bass in a song.

Is there any idea, how to do that?

    Thanks
    Heiko

If I understand correctly, what you need is a Cue List.
    Just
    - create a new one in Virtual Console
    - assign the chaser to it.
    - assign your MIDI key to the "next cue" action

    That's it.
    Hope it helps

That works a little bit. But after switching to next cue QLC+ plays the complete cue list.

Also in the Chaser, the arrows previous and next steps don't work stepwise. Maybe that is the concept, to work like a CD player.

I need a function to play one Step in a cue per beat or key press.

No that's not the fault of QLC+ Massimo :) You saved my day - the hint in the documentation shows me what to do:

"Please note that if you need light scenes that you're going to change manually with the Cue List widget, you might want to set the duration to "infinite" (∞) using the Speed Dial widget enabled in the Chaser Editor by clicking on the button."

Now the Chaser in my virtual Console steps with every Bass-Beat :) Maybe i find a way to send this impules directly from Traktor Pro without the need of a Quartz-Composer file.

Traktor seems to be able to send MIDI clock. QLC seems to be able to receive MIDI clock on "DMX" channel 387 (or 388).

Somehow create loopback, so that QLC can receive MIDI from Traktor, and then bind channel 387 to Next Cue command.

Not tested, devised by reading manual and sources. If you can figure it out, please report back how you did it :)

Traktor can also send the "Beat Phase" via MIDI-Out. See attachment.

At the moment i got only a trial license of Traktor, cause normally i use Algoriddm djay 4 on osx. Unfortunately they have no support for outputting beat matching.

Sooner or later you'll have to show us a video of what you're doing, cause it sounds awesome :)

Yes, this is exactly the kind of thing I plan to be doing with chases from Traktor and Ableton Live as soon as my OpenDMX Ethernet interface arrives! :D
