I'm not quite sure if this is a feature or bug, but if I check the "monitor values" feature in a slider's preferences in virtual console, I'm no longer able to manually move the sliders even when there's no active functions running.
Moving the sliders changes the value momentarily as long as the mouse moves, after which it drops back to zero.

Could someone clarify whether that's how the "monitor values" is supposed to work? If that's the case, I'd like at least a switch on the virtual console or widget to make it available for modification vs. just monitoring.

Guys, as stated in the 4.8.0 release notes, this feature is still in a experimental stage.
We're trying to fix all the remaining issues. Please be patient.
In the meantime, if you don't like how it works, please do not use it.

Some feedback on this. I have created my own generic dimmer but with the channel type set to effect. Then the channel works fine to monitor the value and get adjusted further. If I look in the channel fade configuration then that channel shows as effect, can fade and HTP.

I'm getting the same issue.
