Interface becomes unresponsive issue

    I've noticed something with QLC+ that can be more or less disruptive depending on the workflow. The problem is that the user interface can become unresponsive necessitating a restart of the program. I've been unable to really reliably recreate this issue, but I think it's related to having the program in the background and (possibly) sending MIDI commands destined for QLC+. When this happens, clicking a button will cause it to appear to trigger momentarily (like a flash button, even if it's supposed to be latching) but nothing happens. If a scene, chase, etc, is running, it will continue to run and the buttons will do nothing.

    Unfortunately, I've yet to figure out a way to fix this when it happens without restarting (which can be pretty problematic in the middle of a show).

    David,

    • I'm on OS X 10.10.2

    • QLC+ Version 4.8.2. - 4.8.3 (and in fact, I've seen this behavior in prior versions as well)

    • Generally I run a few different things in the background like Modul8 and a program called MIDI-Connections (to gang a couple of controllers into one IAC bus for QLC+ control), and also potentially Eye-Fi Mobi (although that wasn't running during this last show).

    Hi,

    I just fixed something that may be related to this.
    If you can compile QLC+ from source, can you try to fetch the last changes ?

    If you don't compile QLC+ from source:
    Did you go in the input/output tab and change things before the problem started happening ?
    Can you test going to the i/o tab, change profile selection several times, and see if this recreate the issue ?

    Hi, I have exactly the same problem, I run on Mac OSX 10.8.5, QLC+4.8.3, with Enttec open DMX and BCF2000. SOmetimes I'm anymore able to "select" the VC buttons.. Pretty problematic....
