    Hi everyone,

first of all I'm new and basically I have no clue about DMX controlling software but qlc+ seems to be learnable.

I got a 9x5in1 LED Akku Par for which I created a fixture with the fixture editor using the tutorial and my DMX chart. I saved it and wanted to import it in the main qlc+ program but it doesnt show up. I tried saving using different names but still it doesnt show up.

Can someone help me to import the fixture I created? Thanks in advance.

It is in the documentation - under the questions and answers section.

You need to save the fixture definition in the QLC+ user folder in a fixtures sub-folder and QLC+ will scan the folder and add all the fixtures it gets there.

    From the documentation:

Where is the QLC+ user folder located in my system ?
The user folder is where user fixtures, input profiles, RGB scripts and MIDI templates go.
It changes depending on your operating system:
Linux: it is a hidden folder in your user home directory: $HOME/.qlcplus
Windows: it is a folder in your user (e.g. MyUser) directory: C:\Users\MyUser\QLC+
OSX: it is located in your user "Library" directory: $HOME/Library/Application\ Support/QLC+
You can reach any of these folders from a terminal with the 'cd' command. For example:

    cd $HOME/Library/Application\ Support/QLC+
Please keep in mind that fixures and input profiles found in the user folder will have precedence over the same files in the QLC+ system folder.

Thanks a lot, I was just saving it in the fixture folder where all the other fixtures are. Didnt think about the user folder.
Now i can start to program my show, hopefully the tutorials will help me trough the process.
