    Started my discussion here: https://github.com/mcallegari/qlcplus/issues/88

I am looking for an effective way to sync my DJ / VJ / DMX setup.
I want a color fade or a moving head motion on every beat from MIDI Clock.

My current setup looks like this:
Vinyl Dj -> Redsound SoundBITE micro (Output detected BPM as MIDI Clock) -> Ableton Live

    Ableton Live:
    MIDI -> QLC+ (DMX)
MIDI, MIDI Clock -> Resolume (VJ)
Audio Output (Drum Loops, Dj Intro / Jingles)

This is what i come up with so far: Color fade on every beat from MIDI Clock
Ableton sends Midi to QLC on every beat to step through a Cue-List in with a Chaser on Virtual Console. In the Chaser there are Scenes with different colors. I can ajust the Chaser Step Time/Fade Settings to get a somewhat "complet" fade between beat with a fixed BPM. But if the BPM isn't stable, the fade for example is off...

I would be great if set the fade time to last 1 beat for example or change Scene every 4 beats.
PC_Dimmer or DMXControl for example have this feature.

Probably this isn't and easy or sane request ;-)
Maybe somebody has a better idea or different approache.

    Wait. Why using MIDI ?
    Maybe with this: https://github.com/mcallegari/qlcplus/issues/56
you would avoid a bunch of softwares running at the same time.

I already know how to do this. It's just a matter of time.
I would implement it with like 16 frequency bands assignable to Scenes or Channels.

    What do you think ?

How about freely assigned parametric frequency bands? Very often, a desired sound to isolate with falls between 2 fixed width frequency bands or additional, undesired content falls within the same. 16 fixed frequency bands require some sort of bandwidth declarations anyway, why not give the user a bit of control?
