I instaled the 4.7.4 and connect my dmxking, the bottom light flashes showing a connection, but I'm not getting any signal output via the software. I don't know what is wrong or what to do from here. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

I am running OSX mavericks the latest public update. I believe 10.9.4

I forgot about the mavericks FTDI driver needing to be diabled. I will try that and report anything different.

    Hello,

I have i think the same issue, i connect my dmxking Ultradmx micro and ind QLC+ nothing happens even the LED doesn't flash like it should (if it receive data, wich i tested on JV lighting control). I installed the latest FTDI Drivers.
Another problem is, that QLC+ doesn't show the right Serial nr. so maybe that has to do something about it.
    Maybe someone can help

      Hello
try to check with an earlier version of QLC. After Many tests I can state That Recognizes the 4.7.4 release DMXKING (ultraDMXMicro) interface on OSX 10.8.5 on a mac mini late 2012 aimed About did not Recognise The Sami interface on a white macbook under OSX10.6.8.
On the MacBook Recognizes the QLC + DMXKING interface Until 4.5.1.
By cons on a 2011 MacBook Pro, the 4.7.4 release works.
      Go figure.
I can not explain why later versions of QLC + do not check the box entry USBDMX?

Hi, I'm no OSX expert but this DMX USB thing is coming out again and again and again.

    1) on Mavericks (10.9.x) follow the instructions of ENTTEC ( http://www.enttec.com/support-center/kb/article/108-OS_X_Mavericks_(10.9)_-_IMPORTANT ) or read the Questions and Answers page of the QLC+ included documentation

    2) QLC+ doesn't need extra FTDI or VCP drivers to work. So DO NOT install any. Everything you need is bundled in the dmg package

    3) If none of the above help, I just found that this might work in some cases:
    sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext

Guys, be aware that you picked an OS that doesn't like open source softwares at all. If you can, use Linux, so you'll start feeling your hands free from Apple's handcuffs

Having installed the FTDI drivers can cause the non-recognition of DMXKING.
To check their location and remove you can follow the instructions I gave in 2013

I downloaded the FTDI disable program from Enttec and disabled the driver. Now it works. I feel so stupid about that.

    Mac OSX 10.9.4
