I keep crashing QLC+ with my audio trigger desires an I;m rather hoping i can find out where i am going wrong.

I was having toubles with qlc+ either closing completely (If i had my audio input selected on the 'audio' section of the 'input/output' tab.
OR it would just hang if i didn't have any audio input selected.

I decided to create a project from scratch using only 4 scenes and 4 collections in an 8 frequency bar audio widget... just in case i had made an error elsewhere.

i assigned a scene or a collection to each of the audio trigger frequencies.
in opperate mode i get the errors mentioned above.

my operating system is MINT 14 XCFE
    My QLC+ is 4.5.1
my web explorer is firefox 25.0

I attached the project so you can better understand me.

    Here are my questions...
1)where can i find and how can i send an error / log report?
    3) is this a known issue or am i the first?

    many thanks Preview

Did you search this forum first ?

    Yes sir, indeed I did.

I only found somebody having the problem in windows. A post from you on that thread said I was fixed in 4.4.1

Also I found a discussion from somebody on Ubuntu with a 'strange' Linux kernel.

Unfortunately I didn't find anything I understood to help me. However, I shall search deeper.

    Thanks

    Hey,
I just tested your setup on 2 Ubuntu-systems
    (12.04 64bit and 13.10 32bit)
it worked on both just fine.
Try to disable the audio-input on the "input/output" tab and test it again (if you enabled it)
Edit: sorry, you already mention the audio-input

    regards
    René

    Thanks René,

I recall reading someplace that the audio input was 'very broken'.

I will try another linux and report.

    God bless

Could this have to do with pulseaudio?
Try running with pulseaudio disabled, like so:

    pasuspender qlcplus

    Hi everyone.
    Today it worked!
As far as I know I didn't change anything in my audio setup.
I have nothing selected in the input/output tab.

The only thing I did different was...
    1) only used 8 frequencies
    2) set the trigger to a dmx channel and not a function. (The functions I tried to use last time were a mixture of 'collections' and 'scenes'

    God bless.
    Rick
