I had to do a complete reinstall of the latest Ubuntu on my laptop over the weekend, and discovered this problem.
QLCPlus would not install due to a missing dependency. "libudev0".
"Raring" has moved on to "libudev1" and the earlier library is not in the new repository.
This is only a problem if you do a fresh install of "Raring", it's still left behind if you upgrade.
You can get the older library (32bit or 64bit) from the links on this page: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2132483
QLCPlus 4.3.3 installs and runs without any apparent problems after you add this library.
Regards,
Chris.

This is a very bad mess that the Ubuntu team did.
Now I've got either a 12.04 and a 13.04. Will look for a solution.
