Not a fan of the recently added in/active checkbox on frames

I understand why the checkbox to de/activate frames was recently added, but thusfar, I've found it to be a bit more of a disadvantage than anything else. I've personally been confused by the inability to activate buttons in an inactive frame and another individual that uses my system was also confused by the same thing last night.
So, I would like to suggest a few potential enhancements:
1) perhaps it would be possible to select the checkbox as a frame option, or
2) make it more obvious that the frame is inactive (it's quite subtile right now), or
3) At the very least, rework it so that all of the frames are not automatically deactivated when going into edit mode (this would be the BIG one for me).

I wanted to update this post with something that I noticed today. While it is possible to turn off the check box by disabling the header bar of a frame. However, when this is done, the frame essentially becomes unusable because, as I previously indicated, frames are automatically disabled when entering edit mode. As such, a headerless frame will be inactive when going into operate mode however there is no way to activate the frame. It seems to me that this would clearly qualify as a bug.
Are you talking about the big checkbox to enable/disable a frame ?
I have not noticed this behavior, Which version are you using, and can you describe steps to reproduce this ?

So strange. I was very reliably able to produce this yesterday and today I'm not able to. So, I guess I retract this as an issue! I still would file #1 & # as a feature request however...
Yes, can the checkboxes be adjusted to be optional? They provide no usable function to my setup.
I guess this is possible. I will work on this, if Massimo does not see any problem in the possibility of hiding the "Enable" button of a vcframe.

There's no problem. Just add a check box in the frame properties dialog. (similar to show header)
Just remember to save the flag in the project XML.
So there will be an Enable checkbox for Enable checkbox? :^)
