Once more, I'm pleased to announce yet another release for this cutie (Qt)
control application for the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) sound server.
Qjackctl 0.2.8 is here.
Among minor changes, the main feature is the long awaited system tray icon
option, for both KDE and Gnome desktops. This new tray icon feature must
be explicitly enabled on the Display tab from the Setup dialog. From then
on, it will sit there always, until you disable it.
Not just for eye candy, the tray icon shows the current JACK audio
server/client state, whether it's running or not, and presents a
bright-red background upon any XRUN occurrence. Pretty huh?
It also features a method of show/hide the main window panel by
left-clicking on it, and by right-clicking a context-menu is shown with
the most handy options.
To the impatient, you can grab it from the project homepage:
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
