I modified freq.c in a way to support SRIF. It's not at all
perfect and doesn't integrate into the rest (I just made it
replace what freq.c does) as well as it could, but it's
tested and works.

It works great here, if you just set the freq_pktcount, to 1
as a global var, and comment out freq_pktcount=0 in the
function.
So i wonder why don't you apply the patch?

This will need to be investigated to see if is in an already released version.
This looks to have been already added to the code (likely, quite some time ago), as per the README advising that SRIF is available.
