This component is great job! I searched for something like that for a long time.
I have same problem with designer example. When I try to repeat your example from usersguide with DICOMDIR data I see DicomDir and DicomIcon correctly, but DicomImage do not display selected image, only message "File not loaded".
I have Qt 4.4.1 installed on Kubuntu 8.04.
