#4 Premature EOF
Occasionally, uploading an impage file fails.
An exception is thrown.
This particular time, repeating the upload in Opera
continued to fail, but uploading the file via IE4.0,
WinNT4.0, Service Pack 4 worked. See attached file.
I believe I have seen this problem in Win98 IE.
It is my impression that when it fails, it fails
consistently. When it succeeds, it succeeds
consistently.
This time, I was surprised to see it work in IE when
it had failed in Opera.

I just made an interestnig connection.
The same time that this problem was being captured, another
system was having the same problem.
qat uses postgres and Jetty.
Bugzilla uses mysql and Apache.
When trying to attach a text file to a bug report, Opera
locked up in the same way that uploading an image file
locked up for qat. On retrying in IE4.0, WinNT4.0, Service
Pack 4, it worked.
Note that, usually, uploading image files via Opera does
work. The symptoms are consistent in that on a day when it
does not work, it consistently does not work. On a day
when it does work, it consistently works.
I have see uploads fail on IE5 on Win98. In the past, when
it does not work in Opera, it does not work in IE5 on Win98.
