hi list, i'd have to second that opinion. i am most interested in Q, but am now (when i have the time) learning erlang and haskell because there is more basic material on those languages available, just so that i can eventually come back to Q. (although those languages are also quite interesting). i have done some scheme programming which eases the learning curve, but these languages are still so different from anything else that i have programmed in that the Q docs are too dense for me. i think an important guideline should be, not just saying that you can do X in Q, but elaborating as to why and how you would use (and not use!) feature X. anyway, thanks for the language, and also for the warm welcome i got with my first post, now many weeks ago, to which i never responded. hope to come back to Q soon. best regards, _c > In terms of features for the Q language, what would be > very good would be "better" documentation. > > |
