Hi all, I've just uploaded a new bugfix release. Q 7.5 gets rid of some segfaults in the C interface. (John: I hope that this makes your life a little easier. ;-) Also new (cue drum roll here): Pd/Q External 0.1, a Pd plugin which allows you to execute Q scripts from Pd. Using this interface you can write new Pd objects in Q. Great fun. ;-) For those who have never heard of it: Pd a.k.a. Pure Data (http://puredata.info) is Miller Puckette's popular open source "Max" successor, a visual programming environment for patching together computer music and other realtime multimedia applications. RPMs for Pd/Q are available (sorry, no Windows packages yet) and I've also uploaded RPMs for Pd 0.39.2 (see the "dependencies" section). Pd/Q is still in beta, so expect some bugs. Bug reports are welcome, of course, and if anyone can help with the Windows port please get in touch with me. Preliminary documentation for Pd/Q is in the README file in the pd-qext-0.1 tarball and a (very basic) example Pd patch is also included. I'm working on more elaborate examples which make full use of Pd's and Q's capabilities, I'll upload those when they are finished. Enjoy! :) Albert -- Dr. Albert Gr"af Dept. of Music-Informatics, University of Mainz, Germany Email: Dr....@t-..., ag...@mu... WWW: http://www.musikinformatik.uni-mainz.de/ag |
