Regarding the audio stuff, one project that I'm still working on is an improved interface to Faust and SuperCollider, which (1) handles all the grunt work of loading Faust DSP plugins into SuperCollider and (2) provides a high-level control interface similar to SuperCollider's own, but written 100% in Q. I hope that I can still finish this before ICMC. The current interfaces to Faust and SuperCollider in the Q-Faust and Q-Synth packages are already quite usable, however, and they should let you do pretty much any high-fidelity, low-latency, realtime audio processing that you want (provided you have enough CPU power).
