FWIW, I raised C/Perl et al, not because they define what's `right', but
more to consider for the rule of least surprise, from the perspective of
folks coming from those languages. It might be that we have more folks
coming with significant Haskell experience, in which case that's a
non-issue.

So on average, I'm still 50-50 about it. :)
