I was talking about GNU automake+libtool here. For some reason I 
couldn't yet determine, the usual automakish way to build and link 
against dynamic libraries just doesn't work as it should on OSX. It's 
probably a GNU libtool bug, and I'll have to figure out a way to work 
around that. Or switch to a different build system altogether. Has 
anyone here already used scons, that seems to be pretty hot these days?

Yeah, that sounds really cool, but I think I'll have to leave that to 
you Mac experts here. ;-) Once Q again builds cleanly on OSX, hopefully 
someone will step up and provide OSX packages for the others.
