Today at least they updated the site status page... after cvs has been 
completely disfunctional for two days. Hopefully devel cvs should be 
back up and running by the end of the week, but there's no word yet when

Yes, I've had reports that the interpreter is broken on 64 bit. Probably 
some bad pointer arithmetic in the symbol table code, that should be 
easy enough to fix once I find the time.

There also seem to be some issues with libtool on OSX, but I first have 
to set up an OSX system with gcc and Fink before I can look into this. 
BTW, what do the OSX hackers recommend these days to get the necessary 
dependencies working? Fink or Darwin ports?
