I am a new user of PyXPlot, and have used Gnuplot before. There I could set desired font type and size along with the set terminal command. However, I have not been able to find out how to set the font type in PyXPlot.

I want to use the graphs I create in a Latex document using PdfLatex. From the information I've found so far it seems that it is possible to make graphs in PyXPlot and have the text be in the same font as the rest of the latex document when included. But I have not been able to figure out how to do this and if the graphs have to be made in a specific format for this to be possible. So far I have set the terminal to pdf.

Would appreciate any help on how this is done in practice.

    Kind regards
    Gunhild

Supposedly the set preamble command allows one to change the font, but I have had indifferent luck making it work.  I can change the font of the axis labels.  I can also change the tick label font if I specify the labels individually, but if they are set automatically, they are in math mode.  It seems I can change the text font but I have not been able to get the math mode font to change at all.  (I'm trying to make an .eps figure for an Elsevier journal and they supposedly only take Arial, Helvetica, Courier, Times, and "Symbol", although how strict they are (i.e., whether they take any of the free clone fonts) I don't know.)
