This is a complicated subject (to my point of view). First I should
tell you, that the zeropath is removed in current CVS. This removal
came out of a discussion of the developers after the sf patch 861999.
While in the mean time I have addressed all points related to this
patch, I should properly answer it now ...
But there is a new and very important question arising out of your
idea: How should we deal with those breaks at all? We will need some
generic way of modifying paths (lines, but also filled areas like
bars) by special axis features. What I do have in mind is breaking a
