[Pythonol-announce] Unable to run pythonol as regular user

I just downloaded pythonol and extracted the archive
to a directory in my home directory.

If I su, I am able to run pythonol, albeit with the
following warning messages:

warning: Python C API version mismatch for module
_gtk: This Python has API version 1011, module _gtk
has version 1010.

However, if I don't su, and just try to run pythonol
as a regular user, nothing happens.  The program
doesn't run, and I don't see any warning or error
messages come back in terminal.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Does anyone have
any thoughts on how to trouble-shoot this?
