I've just subscribed to this list so this is a presentation: my name is 
Andrea, I'm 25, I am from Italy and I was an HyperCard fellower.

I am new to python and I'm trying to understand something deep inside 
it, could you suggest me something to read ?

I recommend the book Learning Python:

It is an excellent introduction to Python.  If you
prefer to go the free way, you could try:
