I'm already using some of the features that are only in CVS e.g. platform-specific resource files, so it makes sense to wait until after 0.8.2 goes out. I've signed myself up to the pyInstaller mailing list so hopefully I'll be able to get it working sooner rather than later. It looks like the people that took over the McMillan Installer codebase decided to change the build system completely, so there are still some residual 'issues' to be dealt with.
