Seems to me like a good idea, and I'll be happy to update all the 
walkthroughs for the new tools. (Should we keep the old walkthroughs 
since the old tools will still be there ?)

It means renaming files, which I seem to remember being tricky in CVS - 
so if you wanted to do the actual rename, that would be fine. I could 
then do any edits within layoutEditor.py to reflect its new name.

btw - I'd like to hear your (and indeed anyone's) preferences about the 
"Vary" versus "auto-naming" choice for the layout editor (see my email 
on Jan 4th for more details).
