I have a Windows PC at home running Python 2.4, and I may be able to carve
out some time with it in the next few days to see if I can duplicate
the problem.

Because my project is getting close to a very tough deadline,
I think I'll stick to Python 2.3.x for now. I'm afraid of other
unexpected problems related to Python 2.4 cropping up, since
it's unclear whether PythonCard has really been tested
thoroughly against Python 2.4.
