The second last sentence should, I think, say " ...using the 2.4 Python you just installed". For me, simply typing the "sudo python ..." command that follows would indeed use the system default 2.3 Python - and hence install it in the wrong Framework directory. You may be able to simply do sudo /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/bin/python2.4 setup.py install but note I haven't yet tried it, and could easily be wrong, since I don't fully understand this complexity.
