I wrote to Brad off-list, and we got his problem fixed (he had an 
earlier version of PythonCard checked out from CVS, and it came earlier 
in his sys.path, so was being used in preference to his regular 
PythonCard install).

Sorry, we should have reported back to the list so that solution was 
available to others.
