Doing so you are forced to retype the command again. I fix this issue in my developer release in this way: each keyboard key you press it will reset the force direction (esc will still cancel the active command ). I will add an input box or other smart input system for the angle constraint in witch the user can type the angle. I think that having the H V keyboard key is very fast, I do not want to delete this functionality. Let me know if you have any different idea for this functionality Regards, Matteo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: carlopav (carlopav) Date: 2010-09-01 22:48 Message: good, but i think we must go further, for example in current alpha 3 how can i remove orizontal and vertical mode once pressed "h" or "v". i think we should switch to a more autocad (or archimedes) like input for this function. carlo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matteo Boscolo (matteoboscolo) Date: 2010-08-25 10:00 Message: hi in the actual git version there is already a support for the horizontal and vertical direction. You just need to type the h (horizontal) or v (vertical) to force the direction of a line . For segment: Click on segment command, Click a point in the drawing area Type H Click the second point I'm still working on that to improve this functionality. ok, i think we can release it. at the moment there is a preference dialog that is displayed empty because it's still in progress... and a status button of snap that do anything if checked or not, but display snap list if right clicked, so i think it could be enought like this too. i'll try to fix something this evening... anyway when you have some time matteo pack it and publish alpha 04... let's do it! carlo |

Hi Carlo, I would like to release the alfa4, we are losing rating and I think it's time to inform all the people that a new release is available. And is also time to show at all the people the great work that you are doing. What do you think? I will prepare the pakage for windows and a zip for all the other platform .. as soon I have your "ok" I will publish the release on sourceforge download. Regards, Matteo |

Hi all, Actually R38 is more stable and have a lot of new feature. We would like to release the first Beta version in the following month. My first target was at the end of 2010 to have the first Beta ready, but we had some trouble and we need to postpone the release date hopefully at the and of May . In the mean time we would like to start updating the actual wiki documentation to start having an updated documentation with some use case and you tube videos ... to teach at the people how to work with R38. Let me know if there is someone interested in it. We need your help to get the first True OpenSource Cross Platform 2dCad be the most used in the world :-))))) . Regards, Matteo |

Hi all, Actually we have some trouble using the PythonCAD wiki page under this link : http://pythoncad.sourceforge.net/dokuwiki/doku.php The problem is that when you try to register as new user no mail will be send to you, so you are not able to login as new user. As administrator I can give you a pws, so if you would like to write somethink on the wiki and you are not able to login, please feel free to call me and I will give you a login + pws. As you know we are developing the R38 version. This version is completely different from the previous ones so we are asking your help to create a new wiki documentation for this version .. Thanks in advance, Matteo |

It seems that you do not have any active drawing ..opened .. witch version of pyqt are you using ? dose the open file with dxf extension works well ? we can manage this error controlling the code like this: def _onImportDrawing(self): drawing = QtGui.QFileDialog.getOpenFileName(parent=self, caption="Import Drawing", directory=self.lastDirectory, filter="Dxf (*.dxf)"); # open a document and load the drawing if len(drawing)>0: self.lastDirectory=os.path.split(drawing)[0] if self.mdiArea.activeSubWindow() != None: self.mdiArea.activeSubWindow()importExternalFormat(drawing) else: print "active sub windows is none" return but I do not think that you can open a dxf file anymore :-) Regards, Matteo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: carlopav (carlopav) Date: 2010-10-29 21:31 Message: def _onImportDrawing(self): drawing = QtGui.QFileDialog.getOpenFileName(parent=self, caption="Import Drawing", directory=self.lastDirectory, filter="Dxf (*.dxf)"); # open a document and load the drawing if len(drawing)>0: self.lastDirectory=os.path.split(drawing)[0] self.mdiArea.activeSubWindow().importExternalFormat(drawing) <<<<<<<<<<<<<it crashes here return saying "unhandled attribute error" none type object has no attribute "importExternalFormat" regards carlo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matteo Boscolo (matteoboscolo) Date: 2010-10-29 06:26 Message: could you post part of the code Regards, Matteo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1128790&aid=3097630&group_id=263167 |
