I've got a python program that is currently setting xinput properties on X input devices using the 'xinput' command line utility.   (.e.g.  "xinput set-prop 'Wacom Intuos3 6x8 eraser' 'Coordinate Transformation Matrix' 1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 1.000000")

I'm trying to find a more reliable native python method to do so.    I suspect I should be able to make such a change with python-xlib but so far after reading all available documentation I can find how I do it is escaping me.

Can anybody confirm if I should be able to access xinput properties via python-xlib?

and if so any pointers as to what functions I look at (or ideally some sample code)?

Thanks for your time
