So, I discovered that by having a copy of the Python3.0 version of
Markdown on PyPI, that was getting downloaded by easy_install even
when Python3.0 is not installed - so I removed it. It seems that the
correct way [1] is to only distribute the 2.x version of your code and
the end user runs 2to3 on it. As 2to3 runs without errors on markdown,
I guess we need to leave it to the user.
If anyone has tried installing via easy_install and got the wrong
version, you should try again. Sorry for the confusion.
