I've just released a Meta-Data Extension[1] for Python-Markdown. I've
also updated the WikiLink[2] and Abbreviation[3] extensions to support
it.
I should note that the extension does *not* do anything with the
meta-data, but simply extracts the data from the document and makes it
available for use by other code.
