Sorry, for ignoring the messages earlier this month: it turns out I
wasn't actually subscribe to the list despite being its owner. (Gotta
love SourceForge interface.)
About the two questions: Not sure why the "&" escaping got screwed up,
but Sergej seems to be right about where the problem is in the code.
I will integrate this fix and check in the new version. As for
HTML_PLACEHOLDER value popping up in the output - I have never seen
this and can't do much without a clear test case. When I run the
"Alla lunga" example through Markdown I don't get anything that
shouldn't be there.
