[Python-markdown-discuss] Making urls clickable...

I've been experimenting with python-markdown and it seems neat.  This is the
first time I've used markdown.

I am surprised, especially coming from textile, that markdown won't
automatically turn a text url into an actual clickable url.

Has anyone written an extension that I can use to make url's clickable?
