[Python-markdown-discuss] Can the 'meta' extension output an unchanged body minus metadata?

Hey folks,

I'd like to use the 'meta' extension to get a Python string which 
consists of the body of the post without the metadata, but otherwise 
unchanged.

I've got my own code to do this which works fine, but I was wondering if 
there was a built-in option to do this that I missed. If not would it be 
a good thing to have added?
