Dave, I'll need more info to be able to help you. What version of Python-Markdown are you using? What version of Python? What specifically are you trying to do? Can you provide a minimal document and command that replicates the problem? Without that info, I can't say for sure, but it is possible that this is the same bug I recently fixed here (the error message matches): https://github.com/waylan/Python-Markdown/issues/158 If you apply the two commits referenced in that discussion, does that fix your problem?
