Problems importing ldap in Zope

I=B4m using Linux RedHat 8, Zope 2.6 , python-ldap-2.0.0pre06-1(rpm versi=
on)=20
and LDAPUserFolder.
I also have Python 2.2 installed.

In Python, I can 'import ldap' and connect to my LDAP server. Everything=20
works fine.

But when Zope starts and tries to import ldap, it fails and sends a messa=
ge:

"undefined symbol PyType_IsSubtype".

With Zope 2.51 and another server the same error occurs.
